I am truly dismayed by the increasingly adversarial relationship developing between law enforcement personnel and regular people (as opposed to criminals). As someone with friends on both sides of the issue, it seems to me that much of the blame is misplaced. Who criminalized normal human behavior in pursuit of revenue? Whose failed social & economic policies created the anger that infects society? Whose campaign donors profit from putting military hardware onto city streets? It wasnt the people who enforce the laws, its the people who MADE the laws. Regular people, you want to be angry? Be angry at the politicians who decided that making everything illegal is an easy way to raise money to buy votes. Cops, you want to be angry? Be angry at the career bureaucrats who are using you as a weapon against the citizenry that you were intended to protect.
