I am watching this Trace Adkins ad on TV for the Wounded Warrior Project. Very sad and hard hitting. Makes you think. These young men and women have given so much at the behest of our country and now they are relying on charity to get through each day. There is something so wrong about that to me. I guess with the bloated Defense spending going on why cant our government do right by these brave men and women? Why cant the money come out of the Defense Budget? It speaks volumes about our values as a society. If you are looking for a charity to contribute to, the WWP is a worthwhile cause. Look for it on-line. That being said I still dont think it speaks very well of our country, that our returning veterans have to rely on charity to get by. We all need to take a long look in the mirror. Before you go jumping on the President, keep in mind that spending is controlled and authorized by Congress. Controlled by the Republican Party. (The House of Representatives), vote them out in 2014.
