I believe that my greatest responsibility on earth is to express my true nature and purpose. Equal to that, for me, is to give my kids the opportunity to live their lives as an expression of their highest potential. Coming to America was a big move for me and my family, and was not based on any logic what so ever, only the intuitive sense that it was in the highest good of us all. The transition was not smooth at all, at first creating a great dislocation for my business and for us as a family. Of course Im overjoyed that the move ultimately opened a whole new business model combining my deep love of Africa and Alchemy. Im just as happy that the experience has served to expand my beautiful wife Christians horizons in her passions of art, dance, travel and empowering others in their natural success. But, from those dark days when the kids were literally suicidal about being in the American schooling system and alienated from the social support systems they were used to, I could never have imagined this time would come where they are absolutely rocking in their lives. Both are now A grade students, doing well and getting on well in their school. India recently won the Spirit of Mill Creek trophy, the prize awarded to the most valued member of her equestrian center, no mean feet in an institution that trains US Olympic riders. She has grown from an introverted girl to an out there, sociable and well liked young miss. Tennessee has transformed from a cave hibernating misanthrope into an engaged young dude who is the captain of the school debating team (perfect), creates mind blowing anime comic book stories, takes himself to martial arts 2 or 3 times a week, attends film school classes and hangs out with young film makers, and is described by his headmistress as a great role model. Its not been easy relating to the kids, very strained and difficult, to be honest. But as their spirit kicks in and they get off on that, and they realize thats what were there for, to support that, then the barriers dissolve and were on a fantastic journey together. And also...if they dont f*&%ing get their rooms tidied like Ive been insisting for weeks now, Im gonna open up a can of whoopass!!
