I bought an Acer Icona 500A tablet over two years ago. It suddenly stopped working and after a bit of research on the net I found it was a known problem with a faulty mother board that Acer were fixing for free on the quiet. OK so after a lot of emailing and getting nowhere I called the service center. They were able to look at all the email and came to the conclusion I was entitled to a one of, courtesy repair… YAY I thought and they gave me a case # and said I’d get more info sent to me within 12 hours. A month later, a few emails and still nothing. So I rang again. Got a helpful person who told me the address it needed to go too and after the courier not turning up I paid $8.50 and posted it myself. At this point I got an email addressed to some guy called Adrian asking if I would like to take a survey about how my experience with Acer had been. Yesterday I got my Tablet back. New mother board and it works so well. I love this product!!! Which is why it sucked so much when it stopped working. Thank you so much for fixing it Acer but it shouldn’t have been this hard.
