I call on Nigerian Government, and National Assembly to abrogate - TopicsExpress

I call on Nigerian Government, and National Assembly to abrogate any law, shielding inefficient Power Holding Company of Nigeria [PHCN] officials, from being arrested or prosecuted by aggrieved or defrauded electricity consumers. PHCN is a symbol of gross exploitation and extortion, against the masses. What has happened to the much talked about privatization of the power sector, or prepaid meters. Management of this failed company, rolls out electricity bills, more than ten times the actual consumption. Actual reading of meters has long been discarded, They now bring out outrageous bills. In most cases, charges given to consumers are more than their house rents. These unscrupulous and very corrupt PHCN workers, have discovered they will be loosing more than ten times, the money they are extorting from consumers, should they install prepaid meters everywhere. And the prepaid meter installation has virtually stopped. They are not better than other robbers. The major difference is that, they themselves cannot be apprehended or charged to court, for unwarranted and indiscriminate disconnection of helpless consumers. It is only in Nigeria that such: wickedness, impunity, and öpprëssIön, can go on unchecked…Government should sweep away those parasites, if they the power sector is to perform like, now fully privatized communication sector. Those rogues, many of whom are multi-millionaires, at the expense of the down-trodden masses. They plunge people into darkness most of the time. They usually give light to people in an area, when on disconnection and extoetion of money. Who will deliver the people from the stranglehold of wicked PHCN overlords? Visit: powertrumpeter.org.
