I came across this wicked ass spider outside earlier. I noticed it - TopicsExpress

I came across this wicked ass spider outside earlier. I noticed it from the corner of my eye as it shuffled across the sidewalk. It appeared to be a really big wolf spider. Very common in my area. I would say he was about the size of a silver dollar. As I leaned in to take a closer look the spider turned quickly to face me. I think I might have startled it. As it shifted in my direction the creepy crawly perked up on all eight legs taking a defensive stance. The sharp and intense shinny sparkle in it’s black eyes glared directly into mine. It was locked on to my every move. The slightest twitch would have set him off. At that moment it all hit me at once and I realized I just walked into a dangerous situation. The Spider quickly lunged forward about a half an inch in what I believe was a preemptive strike. I was taken by surprise and almost lost what little nerve I had left. He then lifted his front right leg in an attempt to provoke me into a fatal mistake. This guy was good. He was real good and he was getting inside my head. I was rapidly losing focus and the advantage was in his favor. The first drop of sweat ran down my neck as another followed closely behind it. Then another, and another after that one. In my frozen state of fear the time passed by many hours (About two minutes) and the sun began to settle on my skin and burn my eyes. I could physically feel the blisters forming as I stood there at the Spiders mercy, but looking away would have cost me even more. I could only think of what his next move would be. What would he try next ‘I wondered’ I was breaking fast and this had to come to an end one way or another. Without food or water my body was eating itself from the inside out. Panic was getting the best of me and action had to be taken before it was to late to do anything at all. It was now or never. I looked that spider in those deep dark eyes and I screamed in the face of my enemy, “Spider!! I’m not afraid of youuuuuu!” Then I raised my foot and charged forward. I charged to manhood. I charged to freedom from all eight legged oppressors. Most importantly I charged for victory. Damn spider ran away.
