I cannot believe it has been a whole year for me being an active member of CYT. Being a part of CYT has changed my life for the better. It all started when my mom asked me to do a talk on differently abled people. Though I didn’t knew anybody accept for Chad and Amanda, it didn’t take long to make new friends. I got to on some level experience something that I missed out in during high school. A youth group, a snow day, Prom or Morp and lock ins to name a few. I am grateful to be able to learn and to be mentored by some amazing people like Chad, Amanda, Grandma Karen, Ronda A., Rhonda V, Sings and Stars and many more. It has been a honor to be a part of some of the memories. At times I get annoyed and struggle with the kids or other junior leaders. I have an open door policy. I feel sometimes that they either don’t trust me enough or don’t want to bother me with their problems. I am there as a Junior leader in training to be a resource, friend, counselor and teacher. No matter big or small we can work together. I guess I need to not let that weigh me down so much and let God decide if a person needs me. Thursdays and Sundays are my favorite days of the week. Thursdays because after school I go to Much Box then stay after to figure out a game plan for CYT. After CYT its nice to relax and get to spend time with my mom watching Greys Anatomy and Parenthood. On Sundays it is rare but I might go to Concordia. If not I will usually go to Kingsburg Community Church for Out poor the night service and usually I get to play Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) roll playing which is the icing on top of the cake. I feel my walk with God is getting a little bit stronger due to CYT, College Group, Concordia and Outpour. I think I am on the right path but only time can tell. Some people say Ive changed but I dont really think so.
