I cant believe that anyone would honestly be shocked by the fact someone can be both a cheerleader and a lawyer. Cheerleaders are not stupid. They are some of the most hard working, genuine, intelligent and committed people I have ever met. Cheerleading is not only difficult, dangerous and time consuming, but cheerleaders also have to deal with constant stereotyping like this. THIS WOMAN IS NOTHING SPECIAL. I bet anything that at least half the people on her squad have equally, if not more demanding jobs. But for some reason being smart and a cheerleader has meant shes made the papers?! Cheerleading is not her secret sport it is part of her life and nothing to be ashamed of. You may think cheerleading is all pom poms and short skirts, but it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT and it makes me so angry to see people so heavily misunderstand the sport that I love so much. And if anyone wants to tell me that cheerleading isnt a sport - let me know when you can lift, throw, spin AND catch another person - often the same weight as you - above your head. Oh and then dance. And jump. And tumble. #unlikely
