I cant express enough how good this is. Daniel Amos was one of the first Christian Rock artists I discovered in the early 80s. Until then, Christian music I knew of was nothing I liked listening to. This band was not only worth listening to, they made some of the best music I heard from any artist. Over the past couple of decades, the mainstream Christian music has become better and more rocking, but meanwhile the cutting edge, living out of their suitcase, crossing the country in a broken-down van loaded with guitars and Bibles, bands seemed to disappear or only exist among Metalcore bands. But the same old artists like Lost Dogs, 77s, Phil Keaggy, Glenn Kaiser, Over The Rhine, Bill Mallonee/VOL and The Choir keep putting out keep putting out music that rocks. But it had been 12 years since DAs last release. Terry Scott Taylor had been busy with the Lost Dogs and solo projects and performances, but no real DA album. While Buchner was a nice album, Dig Here Said the Angel is one of their best. A sonic landscape that is loaded with details but sparse enough to breathe. The songs are classic but fresh.
