I couldnt resist using the # image again - So many ideas and so little time… As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton had the opportunity to classify Boko Haram as a terrorist organization for two years but decline. The world is focused on the kidnapping of 300 girls from the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School in Lagos, Nigeria. Boko Haram has been behind terrorist acts since 2009. It routinely targets churches and schools attacking over 500 Christian churches and killing over 200 Christians. They indiscriminately kill men, women and children. The Christmas Day attack last year resulted in the deaths of 40 people. Just three months ago, a Boko Haram attack killed 59 Nigerian Boys. They shot and killed the children while they slept and burned the school to the ground. Last September, it was a training college they set their sights on killing 40 students. Hillary Clintons State department was warned about this group and its links to radical Islamist groups but they refused to list them as a “Terrorists.” Apparently, listing Boko Haram as a terrorist group would force the State Department and the Obama administration to admit the “Global War on Terror” was not over and that Islamic terrorism exists…. so non-PC and a reversal on their official Foreign policy positions. Sort of like reinforcing the US Mission in Benghazi would have been an admission of the failure of Libyan policy but I digress…. After the kidnapping of the girls Hillary Clinton tweeted on May 4th with the hash tag BringBackOurGirls that perhaps, Boko Haram were indeed terrorists. At this point, what difference does it make? # A Little too little, a lot too late... I would say. This one is filed under # YOU THINK? investors/editorial-cartoons/michael-ramirez/701166-youthink-
