I did not update from my doc appointment from Friday, but it went very well. Doc initially did not want me to want a hysterectomy and recommended the Mirena IUD, which I decided against. After discussing some additional options, she decided and agreed with me that a hysterectomy will be my best option, to eliminate the possibility of having to have additional surgeries. Even though the insurance denied it (due to first gyno office not providing adequate documentation), she is having her team submit the claim once again and is very confident she can get it approved. I do have a contingency plan and different type of surgery I can get without insurance approval, but it will just drag the whole healing process to a very slow crawl. Fingers crossed and heres hoping it works out!
