I dislike when people post emotional yet mysterious FB updates, yet I did it yesterday. I guess my reason was because I didnt want to come off as someone seeking sappy sympathy here. What actually happened: I came home to find my roomies cat (and really mine as well) screaming and paralyzed in the hind legs. The vet found that Winston had a very traumatic and sudden blood clot that left little hope for a descent quality of life. Ultimately we made the decision to euthanize. It was a first for me and totally heartbreaking. I loved that cat and loss is never easy. At the same time, it is part of life and helps me to appreciate the great moments just a bit more.
