I do not do this often. Maybe I should. Maybe at least a little more often. Please bare with me on this post but please also take the time to read it. I apologize in advance if it becomes too lengthy. Today, as I often do, I called on the Lord. I was extremely worried and I was asking for a miracle. I realize there are many, many more important issues in life. With that in mind I feel it is important to share this so that anyone who is reading, and may be in doubt, might understand the value of a prayer. I was at work today when I called on you. I was working on my last car for the week. I was grateful I did not have to paint this one as I was only touching up rock chips and pollishing minor scratches in the rear bumper. This car is a very expensive suv. A Lexus LX570 and it is black. Mercedes Benz of Lynnwood trusted me to drive this beauty to my shop to do these small touch ups. I had already made my way around the car and touched all the chips up after cleaning all the residues and compound from who ever had worked on it before, when I came to the scratches in the bumper. I grabbed my fine grit wetsand paper and my water and began to sand the clear to minimize those scratches and very quickly I realized my problem. Someone had already done what I was doing and there was no clear left there. Actually there was clear but whoever painted last had blended out their clear in this area and it was extremely thin and I had sanded through that. At this moment I asked you Lord for this miracle. I asked you please Lord, let this not be ruined. I prayed I would be able to pollish the existing clear to shine, without chasing the blender too far, as for it to need to be painted. So I grabbed my buffer, with my white foam pad for my number 1 compound, my pollishing compond, and my extension cord. I plugged in my cord and I prayed some more. Please Lord, make this work. I picked up my buffer and got into position and I pulled the trigger. No juice. I looked over and realized I plugged the cord into the wall but never plugged my buffer into the extension cord. So I reached to plug it in and my phone rings. What now? I thought to myself. When I answered it, it was Charlie, an associate with my company. He asked how I was doing and I told him my situation. Before I let him talk, I asked what he was calling for. To which he explained he was checking to see how my day went on Wednesday at a car lot he used to work at. I really didnt want to complain at that moment because I was so stressed out about this car right now. Whetever you do, do NOT use #1 compond on it. Anything more agressive than #3, the blue compound will make it chase or come off. he explained I was just about to do (what he said not to do) when he called. I gave the blue compound a try and sure enough, IT WORKED! THANK YOU CHARLIE FOR YOUR WELL TIMED CALL. But more important, Thank you Lord for answering my prayer. For making me forget to plug in my buffer. For making me answer my phone. Thank you Lord for all you have done and continue to do for me. Thank YOU for reading this post. No prayer is too big or to small for Jesus. Go ahead and like this and share it if you wish. What harm would THAT do? Again, thanks for reading this absolutely true story.
