I dont believe we have recently spent..all day Monday.. 9 hours ( 8.30am to 5.30pm... at The Westfield Merry Hill shopping mall.. Dudley, West Midlands. One of the most affluent regions of Central England. As soon as we entered this amazing- two storey 300 plus retail- complex,.. contained under one roof. An excited little Pip, was already captivated, by his discovery of The Disney Store... and now,.... being preoccupied in dragging his Nana and Granddad to explore the stores contents...while watching Jungle Book displayed on a huge screen.. covering a rear wall. While the rest of us continued to discover this exceptional mall, for ourselves. It is also very wise a acquire a free centre guide...splitting up...it took more than an hour, to find each other. As we soon realised this shopping expedition proved to be a very disorientating experience. This complex is also geared to Child Safe Shopping completely Family Friendly orientated. With facilities for parents, providing, private breast feeding cubicles, bottle warmers including microwaves, T.Vs , High Chairs. Also facilities for the very young and toddlers... for £2.00- $1.50 hire rent fee. There are Kiddies Cars, Little Shoppers in the shape of cars with shopping trolleys attached.. and pushchairs. For the elderly and disabled wheelchairs and motorbility scooters,... being well maintained and made readily available. Of the 15,.. or so,.. Dining Courts.. The food was fantastic- with individual international cuisine themes...While the others made their way to various outlets... we went to The Olive Oil & Oregano Mediterranean Grill... Serving Greek Cuisine. Our menu served ample,very large portions: Souvlaki...of pork and chicken.. Soutzoukaki.... in the traditional Greek recipe... with plain and or garlic.. pitta bread ample salad with a traditional Tzatziki Dip..The ingrediants of which was Greek Yogurt, garlic and cucumber. £4.99... $ 3.50. for two people. But the main attraction for most of the visitors.... was The Quest. The UKs highest indoor rope facility. Extending well into the roof of the whole complex. A Family Entertainment and Adventure Course. Also available was The Kids Central. Krazy Golf. Soft Play and the Nerf Arena.... of water or paint ball activities. With extra facilities for the younger child and toddlers. It was a great pity,... none of us ever thought of taking photos...as the whole venture was beyond are expectations. However.... Westfield,.. Merry Hill... is going to be... a definite weekly venture for shopping and fun. On reflection... I have acquired pictures of The Quest..as it is far to difficult to explain.. its concept. We all took the plunge...although Mom was a little apprehensive....I re-assured her that it was not so different..to her swinging up-side-side from the rafters in the attic... to which I received a swipe across the head....!!!.
