I dont think I can keep doing this. I just argued with a theist until I was literally exhausted. I gave all kinds of proof and explained how evolution worked, and missing links, and the whole monkeys myth. The end he started arguing that carbon dating is wrong because it is based on human perception of time. I tried to get him to realize that if our perception of time says these our millions of years old and our perception of time calculates the earths age by the bible as 6000 years old there is a problem. he would not hear it and repeated that its human perception and wrong. I am at my wits end. reason does not work with theists and im ready just slap anyone who wants to say scientific theory is not fact because its called theory. what more do I need to show to make these people understand. I am an optimist and also argued in the hopes that I may one day make at least one person see reason but im starting to lose hope. How can I make people understand that without evidence you cant claim existence just as i cant claim non-exsistence. Its mind boggling that intelligent people just cant grasp simple logic. Please help me. any advice or encouragement is welcome because I am losing my mind. (FYI the people I was arguing with are nurses and Physician assistance in my clinic) How can people this intelligent be this deluded?
