I dont think Ive ever had to post something like this on my page before because 99.9% of the people on my friends list are amazing people, but I feel the need to speak up. This is my personal Facebook page, and I know I dont know most of you personally. Many of you feel you know me because you read my books. Thats awesome. I love my readers, and in part you do know some of me because I put a little bit of myself into everything I write. But heres the thing... Im an actual person :-) With feelings and all that other mushy stuff. You might disagree with things I post. Thats okay. But I try to keep this page very respectful at all times, and I expect the same from people that post on my personal page. Ill not tolerate hateful or threatening comments because you disagree with something I say, especially against my loved ones or children. Im extremely protective of those I love, so I have no problem deleting and banning those who feel the need to do that. The anonymity of the Internet gives people a lot more courage than theyd have if they were face to face. I know Im not talking to most of you. But all I ask is that we all take a moment to think before we respond to something that might press one of our hot buttons. Words are powerful. And I very much believe that every situation can be responded to with kindness. Liliana
