I dont understand why people are so angry over The Hobbit being three movies. I have loved The Hobbit since I was young, and I have treasured the book. I love Tolkien so much I have a verse of his tattooed up my arm. I know The Hobbit is only one small book, and these movies dont necessarily stay true to the book, but neither did The Lord of the Rings and I see hardly anyone complaining about them. Movies are never going to be absolutely perfect to the book. Never. Cant we take the beauty Peter Jackson has bestowed upon us and appreciate them for what they are? A few films BASED ON my most beloved books? He never claimed to be Tolkien, or that he was better than Tolkien. He is merely a fan himself who has done something with these books that is truly stunning. If you dont want to watch the films, then dont. Stick to the books. You dont need to come in and ruin it for the people that are just trying to enjoy something great. You can appreciate both as separate things.
