I feel like Im about to ask a really stupid question but in the practice stats paper, for ANOVA: When it says 4 rats are assigned to each group and there are 5 groups, how can that be right? Because surely if 4 rats are assigned to low dose of Suppressant A and 4 assigned to high dose of Suppressant A then Suppressant A as a group as a whole already has 8 rats....plus another 4 rats for the Suppressant A group since there are 5 groups? :s or is it just that Suppressant A is assessed by itself at a normal/unspecified dose? I may be stupid but please tell me either way - does Suppressant A as a whole have 4 rats, 8 rats, or 12? haha
