I feel that pay should come with the level of job you are doing and the level of skills you need. Now, for fast food people, Ive worked in that industry, back when I was a teen and just a few years ago. Granted you cant live off what they pay, but then again, its about the easiest thing you can do and not worth paying someone $15 an hour. I was getting the minimum wage and felt for the level of work I was doing at the time, I was being paid justly. Those types of jobs are not there to supply you with a income to support yourself. They are primarily there as shortgaps, teen jobs which is what mostly worked at the last job I had in the industry or mothers who want something extra to do while the kids are in school. Those jobs are not designed or meant to be a livelihood or to make you rich. You want something that will pay you what youre worth or at least more than that, take a job in retail where you get paid base plus commission, that is where the money is and you get out what you put into it. Trust me, when your working on commission, even with a base or without, you will work harder to make those sales and put that extra money in your pocket. That is what I suggest for anyone who doesnt want to go to school and get an education and work in a office all day. Work for commission and you will be paid what you put in
