I felt let down (about the ending of the movie) since the Professor did not survive. I wanted him to survive. Its good that his soul was saved, but his death meant that the world had lost a person who could eventually be a good teacher and apologist and debater who advocates for faith. Such a powerful debater (who has such knowledge and experience) could explain much better than the average debater. Especially he could have done a very good job of explaining the apparent cruelty of God.
