I finally am able to post a very important quilt that another lady and I made together. She is not on facebook, but the recipient has received it now and I can publicly show it. The quilt is a replica of 2 mosaics on the outside of our church, on adjacent outside walls of our sanctuary. In wanting to keep the look of the original mosaic, we designed the center applique to be made with 1 yo-yos with beads in the center to look like rocks. The color shift about his waist is one of those things that happens when it uses way more fabric that you planned for and the colors end up being darker/lighter in general. They should hang the quilt in our commons area outside of the sanctuary. One lady told me it brought tears to her eyes which was very touching to me. 6 months in the making and finally complete. There are gold metallic thread radiating lines from the applique and lots of crystals to bring Him to life in the sunlight that fills the room it will hang in. The quilt is 70 x 140
