I finally feel like its time I added my two cents to this whole housing crisis issue... I will say for the most part that I am so happy to see how angry everyone is about this land issue... And for once, Namibians are voicing their opinions... We need to stop making it look like its only a black persons fault, coz its not, what the Mayor is doing I completely disagree with... But The whites have caught us by the necks and are taking over... I am a born free and have never felt the wrath of colonization but if you look at it now, I can officially compare it to what my parents and the parents before them described as being colonized... They are moving in people and slowly taking Namibia right from underneath us.... We have been quiet for too long and if we continue... We will not have our Namibia anymore.... The housing markets have sky rocketed because the government wont get involved... I have been renting for about 7years now, and all my landlords just decide off the top of their heads how much the rent will increase per year, and what do we do? We pay as per request because we dont ask questions... There is no market regulation at all... And unfortunately for us, they will keep taking our land and selling it or per usual RENTING it back to us!!!
