I find its really sad that people can put other on a pedestal, putting them above themselves, and have no real reason for it. That girl is cute, so im going to sacrifice of myself so she can inflate her ego about being cute while I wallow here ignored. That situation is bad enough in and of itself, but there are those people who act like their word is gospel and should be treated as such as well. I deserve to be put upon a pedestal, because I am slightly above average attractive, or can say quotes from literature that can very loosely apply to another common situation. No: u stahp dat. Its a persistent issue on FB that I try to ignore, and successfully do 99% of the time, but im still aware of it. people who get treated like princes and princesses for no real reason, despite being self-centered, thinking theyre deep, and being fake rival my disdain of the other end of the spectrum: people who literally dont care about anything. Thats another topic for another time, when I feel like talking about how toxic apathy actually is. The next time you go to like something from someone, really think about why theyre posting. If its IRL, consider what they are trying to achieve. Are they saying something because they want you to hear something, or because theyre saying something to you? Do you put this person on a pedestal because you admire them, or because they and other people say they should me admired, but with no actions to warrant it. Please dont idolize the stuck up bro with millions of selfies, clothes optional, just because he says a quote from Shakespeare and somehow tries to link it to going out to the club with his buddies. Please dont idolize that girl you think is nice to look at, but has no substance, and yet tries to do things guys like just for popularity. Nothing is more worthwhile than a person who doesnt lie to you, or themselves. Ironically, a lot of people who act like mentioned above usually do a lot of lying and spewing of transparent bullshit catered to make you take notice. Too bad they wont notice you: but thats just fine.
