I find much of the commentary over the movie American Sniper interesting. In wartime, the job of the military is to break things and kill people; like that or not its the way it is. A sniper is simply a more precise tool for doing the latter. I wonder why, with the best military in world, especially our Special Operations divisions in all four segments (Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force) that we dont use them to gather the best information (dont like the word intelligence) and blow away all the bad guys. These folks would be doing the job they are highly trained for and we would have unbelievable efficiency in getting the job done. Plus, no more dumb ass conversations about boots on the ground.
