I find that something very tender happens during a photo session with people (as opposed to a photoshoot with cookies. ;) ) Somehow, people trust me. They open themselves up to be unabashedly, unapologetically beautiful with me and wear their hearts in their eyes. Its an honor that makes me just gasp at what Im so privileged to witness. And, lately, Ive kind of half joked that I should do a wind down for whomever Ive photographed. I DO make extra sure to thank them and be affirming. But what I keep forgetting about that grand plan is that, after a photoshoot, I am in a daze! *I* need some affirmation - a hug - hot chocolate, a safe quilt to wrap around me and, then, after Ive taken a peek at the downloading pictures, someone to tuck me into bed. Reentering this world from creative mode is a wee bit of a shock. ;) Just thought Id share that profound thought. :)
