I first heard this song on the radio a couple of weeks ago while I was driving thru Crete. Listen to it to get an idea of the kind of music Greek people are listening to. The video shows exactly the kind of faces I come across when I walk around a multicultural Athens that, crisis shmisis, can still produce some very enjoyable songs. Heres the lyrics of the song (the translation is not mine, but its still usable): Η Επιμονή σου/ Your Persistence If theres something that appealed me to you Something that knew how to surpass me It is your persistence, my love A love that learned not to give up If theres something that told me to choose It is neither your words nor your beauty But this wonderful crazy persistence of yours That its a pity for us to stay apart Oh I wish youd knew the strength your strength gives to me When you say that everythings OK and Im listening to your voice When you say that everythings OK and Im listening to your voice Oh I wish youd knew the strength your strength gives to me If theres something that held me against abroad This light that doesnt exist in other land And that same persistence of yours, my love To share these clouds together To share this sea together This endless sweetness of yours, I wish youd knew how it appeals to me To walk by you in life with courage This endless thirst of yours for lifes unknown I wish youd knew what it gave me and how can you imagine My crazy love, dont get tired of asking me.
