I get a lot of questions about what a Traditional Naturopath - TopicsExpress

I get a lot of questions about what a Traditional Naturopath really does. First, I legally must say that we do not diagnose, treat or cure any type of disease, only medical doctors can do that. Naturopathy is a science based on the belief that the body can heal itself and maintain optimal health or homeostasis if given the right situation, which is food, exercise, lifestyle modifications and supplements. Tools that I use in my practice are Iridology (the study of the iris of the eye and how it relates to other areas of the body) Facial Analysis, Fingernail Analysis, Tongue Analysis, Saliva Testing, hair analysis for heavy metal testing, dry blood cell analysis, blood spot testing and blood screening for thing such as candida, parasites and food sensitivities. I studied Ayurveda under Dr. Vasant Lad in Albuqerque, NM, and Clinical Aromatherapy in Dallas, TX under Dr. Maria-Delores Trujillo, Western Herbology in TX under Dr. Philip Fritchey, along with numerous other modalities. This is an interesting field, and I love what I do. Nothing feels better than seeing a couple have a baby that previously could not, or seeing a client struggling with their health bounch back more vibrant than before. Sadly, we receive a few negative comments about the weight of our staff, but I am very proud to say that our employees have collectively lost over 350 lbs since we have been open. I know we really are making a difference in peoples lives on a daily basis, and I am so proud to be a part of that!
