I got about ten PMs today asking about Carpoholics Anonymous what we are about, where and when are your tournaments going to be and how the point system works. I am really excited about all the interest in our club! CarpOholics Is a very large group of fellow Anglers across the United States, Netherlands, UK, Germany and France and Started here in the USA by yours Truly all bound together by one cause to promote Carp Angling and Carp Care in both Wild Water and Pay lakes alike and to teach up and coming carp anglers the joys of our sport with respect for the fish we catch. Next is our tournaments where when and you might even wonder why. When we hold tournaments it gives us a chance to show how easy it is to take care of the fish we catch today and the trophy fish of tomorrow. Also we attract the attention of spectators who may or may not take a interest in the sport. Today I posted a list on each and every CarpOholic sites owned by this company and now Carping Group subsidiary registered trademark. Those are the Scheduled tournaments and we may try to squeeze a few more wild water events in as well TBA. The Following points system is for CarpOholic members only and to become an active member you need to go to carpoholic and purchase the minimum annual membership that is a meer $20.00. Lets Talk Points and let me tell you all about it. Carpoholic Anonymous is doing the very first of its kind be offered anywhere a full Sponsorship that includes Entry Fees, Bait, Accommodations and the use of Wild carp gear and tackle to all the major Wild Carp Companies Wild water tournaments of 2015. Also to any other major Wild Carping events Carpoholics attends. This is a chance for someone to fish alongside some of the best wild water profesional Carp Anglers in this country. Now each state will hold multiple Carpoholic carp tournaments in our different states that our administrators promote. At each event points will be give away at 20 points each Angler just for paid entry into the event. The Lake Champion will receive 30 points for the combined weight of his biggest two fish of the session being the highest weight recorded by the event marshall, The largest fish of the session is awarded 25 points (buff/common), 2nd largest is awarded 20 points (buff/common), 3rd largest 15 points (buff/common), 4th largest 10 points (buff/common), 5th largest 5 points (buff/common). The largest Common gets 10 points and the largest Mirror gets 10 points. At the end of November we will announce the final competition where all the states leaders in points will fish against each other for the one! Carpoholic Anonymous United States Tournament series points Champion! This is the first of many years we plan to put this event on but this being the first not all states have tournaments lined up as of yet. So this being said if it ends up just NC and SC and PA then we will have the championship at Luck Pond a 48 hour wild carp tournament event with the points leaders attending. Thats how it will be decided on who is champion. If all the other states come into play we will hold a CAG (Carp Anglers Group) style finishing event each Angler fishing their favorite honey hole with Admin weigh marshals at each Anglers spot to ensure rules and video and record the weight of every fish logged and to post those on our FB page as a live cross country event. Anglers Video must show the fish being caught weighed and released unharmed to qualify in event this is the final. Each top Angler will have to provide the camera and person to operate the camera the marshall will only be there for CarpOholic Anonymous purpose of recording the catch.
