I got the number 9 from Jennell Pirtle 9 things you may not know about me; 1. My first car was a 1965 Cheverlet Corvair Monza. 2. A helo I was in made an EMERGENCY HARD Landing after the tail roter broke in flight. 3. My first daughter was born on my mothers birthday as was one of my Grandsons. 4. I was once lowered onto the rolling deck of a Navy Destroyer at sea to photograph the ships Change of Command. 5. Out of over 75 First Class Navy Photographers Mates in the Western Pacific I was selected as the temporary Photographic Officer for Commander Fleet Air Western Pacific at NAF Atsugi, Japan. 6. I once photographed the inside of a U. S. Border Patrol revolver to document the damage caused by sub-standard ammunition. 7. As a passenger in a Volkswagon I broke my jaw, my nose and had a blowout fracture of my eye from a crash. 8. I got a Dear John letter while on deployment to Vietnam but spent Christmas in Hong Kong with no regrets. 9. I once spent the day photographing the U. S. Navy EOD team at NAS Alameda, California for a training presentaion, they got a call to disarm a bomb at the University of California, Berkeley but would NOT take me along..I REALLY WANTED TO GO.
