I had a 1/2 lbs of beef stew meat and left over ham hock. I was looking on You tube and came across this video for ideas of what to cook for lunch. Heres my recipe: Par boil beef and rinse blood and crud in a colander. In clean pot, add beef and 2 c. water. Pinch of Hawaiian salt, 3 cubes of beef boullion and cook for 2 1/2 hrs. add water as needed. Add onions, seeded tomato, celery, bay leaf, and carrots.Add water to the level of the vegetables, cook 15 min. Add potatoes and cabbage and cook another 20 min. Add water if need. To thicken gravy, mix in 1/3 c. instant mashed potato in a ladle in the soup. Season to taste with black pepper. It came out so delicious! Enjoy! youtu.be/6wRZj0bbTpY
