I had a loooong day at the VA today. I found out I cant go to rehab until my wound on my stump heals. I did sign up for home care where someone will come to me every other day to take care of it. I did get the prescriptions filled that were supposed to be filled last week and now have all those meds, I also got a new glucoseometer for checking my blood sugar because I was out of strips, They checkeed my blood sugar and it was 52! She was shocked I was still talking. I did feel weak ths morning, They had me chew some sugar pills which are like sweet tarts, and it got up to 75. They didnt want me to leave until It did. The real frustrating thing that didnt get finished is I finally had time to work with te social worker to set up my disability claim and the social security website wouldnt let us finish because of some technical problem so I have to finish it another day. Argh! Ive been trying to get that done since last week and stuff kept getting in the way. Ah well, Anyway, its probably just as well I lost my job because I need to go to the VA every other day for the time being, Health comes first.
