I had an interesting conversation with a wise old man, whilst discussing in English, he ended with a Yoruba proverb that loosely translates: “Only noise making charlatans would seek a path is cleared for their arrival. The momentum of horses and their sounding hoofs creates a path; asserting your arrival” My twist: “If you must announce your arrival, then you obviously havent arrived. Because when you truly arrive, there would be no need for announcement”
