I had the pleasure of meeting her in 2011 at the Gas Up Land Speed Hall of Fame ceremony. We had a wonderful visit and I told her about meeting her son. When I told her that her son had signed the hood of my Avanti I was racing at Bonneville she said she wanted to sign it too. So we went outside to where the car was on display and she signed the hood. I have pictures to remind of the special moment in my life. I told her she was one of my heros growing up and meeting her in person was very special to me. I dont know if the new car owner painted the underside of the hood but if he did he covered over a piece of history at it contained signatures of Ed Iskenderian and some other Bonneville greats. Wild part is I remember seeing this promotional video back in about 1963 or 1964. Wow how time flies. I also have a lot of photos that I took of the number 9 Avanti that she drove at Bonneville.
