I had to read this a few times cuz I kept on crying 1/4 way through it. That Gig Michaels with Swamp Da Wamp is one wonderful man. The first time we met they were playing in a corner on the Simple Man Cruise I think 2009, we knew they were going to make it and now they are on their way and they should be they have paid their dues. Anyways this is one of his blogs and we are in it. Love you Gig and we are very humbled. By Gig Michaels. Behind the lenses that have brought Swamp da Wamp far more than just another picture! Howdy folks, sitting here on a Wednesday morning, just watched Must Love Dogs. Yup, I am a sucker for a good romantic comedy from time to time… Not discounting my “manly” movies, action thrillers, suspense, etc… Lol.. OK, so let’s put on some Zepplin and get started (Physical Graffiti, push play). First, thanks to all of you that commented on the last blog, I’m glad to be here doing this! And by the way, I’m not one to hound people to Like and Share and all that FB crap, but if you like my blogs, then please do post them to all of your friend’s pages, if I ever finish thanking people this shit is gonna get good ‘n juicy!!! Lol!! It really is important to the bands success in more ways than you know these days. So, in the last blog, I spoke a lot about the Rock Legends Cruise (RLC) and all the great folks I met there. Well, the list goes on in today’s blog…. The photographers. Now if you know any real photographers, you know that they are ALL sensitive regarding their work, much like a rock band is regarding their music or members, or an artist regarding their paintings, etc. (In the words of Robert Plant, “Just join hands!”) LOL! So none of you better get ruffled by my mentioning you all in the same blog. The “No More Drama Policy” is now in effect. You all are great and we appreciate you all. Some have longer stories than others, but all have offered some great captured moments in time for the band. In no particular order of importance, lets get get started… Rina and Michael Yanko, A Better DJ and The RLC photographers. Hell, I feel like I’ve known these guys forever, I think we actually met before the RLC, but nonetheless Rina and Michael have taken some of our favorite shots. They have supported the Swamp in more ways than one. They have driven hundreds of miles and put many hours into capturing images of the band. They have never once asked for anything, which is a blessing for a broke rock band barely able to even take it on the road! Some of my favorite times were on the RLC just goofing off with Michael on stage before, during and after the shows. Michael and Rina work as a team and get the different angles to ultimately capture the “good shot” which, let me tell you, takes about 1,000 pictures to find! Honestly, it does. One thing we will never forget is that Michael and Rina are responsible for introducing us to William Chappell of Chappell Entertainment, our management company of 1 year and we’re going stronger than ever. So thank you Mike and Rina for all you have done for us, for all you continue to do, and for just being cool ass people!
