I hate to throw gasoline a hot fire but Kroger bought a NC based - TopicsExpress

I hate to throw gasoline a hot fire but Kroger bought a NC based grocery chain, Harris Teeters. I can see where they were cutting cost in closing the Sparta store. HT had been having some financial problems and with Kroger buying them, they are looking to turn things around. Kroger is not a real competitor in the Carolinas and with this acquisition they hope to be. HT had closed the store in my town a few years ago but we have 2 Ingles Supermarkets, 3 Food Lions, and 1 Bi-Lo, and a Wal-Mart Superstore. It did not make a big impact with them closing. I do think that with some real marketing, Sparta/White County could get another large retailer.
