I have a HUGE problem & I need your advice..... A few days ago my Mother in Law invited us to her home for Thursday. We have a brother here who was born in Jamaica, he has no family in the area. He contacted us yesterday & asked if wed like to spend Thursday fellowshipping with him. We explained that we were going to my husbands mothers home, but we told him that he could come too. My husband assumed itd be fine because I have taken my patient there for holidays in the past & his mother welcomed them. Well...... She said no! Can you believe it?? She said his Christianity would make her uncomfortable. I think she was willing to tolerate me & Donnie, but 3 seemed too much for her to bear. The worst part of this is that my friend has no other place to go....and further, I have not stepped foot in her home in almost 3 years. Thursday was going to be a day of forgiveness & putting these things behind us. My husband & I are shocked & in disbelief!!! A big shocker was that 3 people that will be there are Christians! Is FULL Bible believing Christianity scary or what? Why do we make people so uncomfortable? The difference between them & us is that we believe the WHOLE Bible, not just the NT stuff. Why should that cause discomfort? What do I do now???
