I have a clay brick given to me by Lindeners from the One Mile Primary School set ablaze by a PPP/C supporter in 2012. I remembered the massive efforts by the community to clear the site in an effort to rebuild it. Since journalist in Guyana only do sensational stories and the hot topic with very little follow up (if any). I would like to know from Mr. Sharma Raheem Solomon and others the following: 1. What legal action taken against the accused arsonist? 2. How is the reconstruction efforts of this school going? 3. What happened to the donations to rebuild the scholl? 4. Where are the children who called this school their home school attending education activities? 5. What efforts are being made by the Regional and Central Government to rebuild this school? 6. Will another piece of good legacy of Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham be a memory? 7. Are they (as rumored) plans to turn the site into a commercial hub? These are just a few concerns I have since education is extremely important to a region and nations growth and development. Failure to rebuild this school means that the community is robbed of a vital space to prevent overcrowding and to provide students with a tailored educational curriculum that pits 1 teacher to 30 students.
