I have a feeling that Shakespeare wasnt writing for twenty-first century Washington or he would have had to retitle his play: Nothings Well That Ends Badly. Remember that 2011 no-casualties (i.e. no American casualties -- until an ambassador got murdered) intervention that was a veritable triumph of American foreign/military policy? Well, think of the recent evacuation of the American embassy in Tripoli as the ending badly part of the story -- the full contingent there, 150 people, convoyed out with U.S. planes and predator drones guarding it. The U.S. is now unrepresented in the chaotic, militia-ridden country that it liberated back in 2011. Throw in Iraq and Afghanistan and isnt there some sort of a lesson to be learned here? Given Washington, probably not. Tom nbcnews/news/world/u-s-orders-americans-evacuate-embassy-libya-n165546
