I have a question, and Id like to hear some opinions. Weve had two professional athletes either lose their jobs or have their jobs put in jeopardy over the last week for abusing their wives and children. Let me first say that I agree thats wrong, and no one should do that. But why would we take away the livelihood of professional athletes for doing the same thing that other people do on a daily basis without any risk of losing their livelihood? Neither of them have been convicted of a crime, but both of them are either fired or suspended. Is the wife or the child any better off because their husband or father is out of a job?
