I have always felt outrage and horror at similar news of attacks and killings. This time however, I have found it very difficult to emotionally process what has happened in Paris yesterday. Is it because it happened in France, on individuals going about their jobs or because it has profoundly attacked the main pillar of democracy, of french values? Dont even know how to respond to comments that it was a racist publication or that they should have seen this coming...because how to even respond to that? I am utterly and truly devastated by these events and my heart is with the families and friends of the victims of those who died not living on their knees but standing on their feet. #CharlieHebdo
