I have arrived safely in Lima! Now for the long wait until my flight leaves for Iquitos (about 4 hours). The connection at Dallas Ft Worth was short--only a half hour. So no time for food. I raced to the gate and was the last one on board, relegated to the back of the plane. The food choices at the Lima Airport are quite American--Papa Johns, McDonalds, and a Subway, but nothing suitable for my spiceless, sugarless, fatless dieta. And so it goes. But I am so well! The closer I get to the jungle the deeper is my joy and peace. No need to worry dear ones. This is right for me and my excitement grows by the hour!
