I have been pondering for a couple of months if I have to at least share this or not. I might sound like a professor lecturing elected officials on what and how to do their duties but I think I need to at least set the gold standards for those elected in office. This will also be my basis for the future candidates for public office who will knock on my door asking for support. Since Mr. Archie Jimenez and his/her likes or cohorts are very fond of cultivating spoiled and ancient issues, I might as well derail your fantasies and illusions and take you in the realm of right governance. Political and social issues are pointless unless specific measures are to be implemented... otherwise that is a strong indicator of politicizing the issue to curtail the strength of power of the privileged state persons . It creates a political bubble of endless and pointless debates which results to further deterioration of the social and political system resulting to more disenfranchisement of the subjects of its sovereign. By nature, humans are political animal. If you want to argue with this then so be it but let me give you an example: The very moment doubt arises when you decide means internally you are already creating a bias based on the principles you believed. No doubt that you yourself is battling with the devil in you. Thats politics. To those individuals who always tell their selves that they hate politics are hypocrites. Going back to my earlier statement, governance is policy building. Without policies, even if you push through with obvious programs, is pointless. The government needs concrete, concise and effective policies before you can even implement your programs. Forgive me for saying this but this administration is spending so much in programs without having concrete policies. The tax payers money has been put to waste with so much investment without specific key indicators of success or progress. Policies for specific issues such as poverty reduction, stimulus plan for local business including small and medium enterprises, improving of literacy rate etc. has been left hanging. The faith of these issues are still unclear. In short these important issues has been drifted towards the limbo. This administration has been very adamant in excavating the shortcomings of its predecessor. I agree that it should be pursued... however, it is the governments responsibility to secure justice with regards to the anomalies of the past administration PROVIDED that it should be debated in the right fora and not via trial by publicity otherwise by doing the latter means this government is just securing its longevity in office and not sincere in its purpose. I have so much to discuss but I will cut my insights with these points at hand.To those who will be having the chance to read this, I encourage you to be more critically aware instead of being driven with politicized issues. Lastly, to share it with you, a colleague of mine asked me if I am given an opportunity to grade the incumbent administration using the grading system in UP 1.0 being the highest and 5.0 being the failing grade what would it be.... Then I replied, if I am cruel I would say 5 but it is unfair since this administration is like a new born baby..... so a grade of 4.0(conditional failure) would do. No hard feelings but in my opinion, this is the grade which suits for now.... who knows, it might be different next June.... ADIOS.....
