I have been searching the internet for one tv interview I watched years ago with Les Paul. I still cant find it. He was giving a news anchor a tour of his home studio and gave the most sage-like quote in regards to the advent of computer-based recording. He was asked what advice he may have for those learning this new method of recording. His answer was simple and profound. Im not going to be able to quote him verbatim but the wrap up was something to the effect of, Never let the machine dictate what you create, you tell the machine what to do. I find that very poignant advice today. While searching again for that interview with no luck I came across this interview I hadnt seen. Its almost absurd how much this musicians heart and work has reached so many. This is an amazing interview and I suggest you check it out if you are a fan of Rock Music. Should you want to play guitar I suggest you pick up a Les Paul.
