I have just put a Tuna Fish Casserole in the oven. Because, Wednesday. First I made a roux; no, not a proper Creole roux, a kind of person of pallor type roux. Also sweated up a lot of odori -- celeries, onions, fresh green pepper, frozen red pepper. Boiled up a lot of itty bitty soup noodles, because what else, eh? And then I seasoned the roux. Garlic and dill, and I put in generous shakes of powdered cardamom, because Hollywood would have me believe that whenever you put cardamom in something, good stuff transpires. Also there was about an inch of blue cheese salad dressing, clear waste of fridge space, so it got added too. All tipped into the classic blue-flowers Corning Ware, topped with crumbs, Parmesans, and generous paprika. Because all pale food must be topped with paprika. And its in the oven. Feel free to park in the street if the driveway is already full when you get here.
