I have known Charlie Daniels since 1970. Last week I wore a Stetson hat I got at the flea market backstage to the Grand Ole Opry. Charlie took one look at it and said George, you need a new hat. Tell me your head size and I will get you a hat.” I said 7 3/8 is my correct size and that the hat that I got at the flea market is 7 1/2 which comes pretty close. Charlie said his hat is 7 3/8. He handed it to me to try out and it fit like a glove. He said he needed the hat for the evenings performance with The Charlie Daniels Band, but when he went home the hat would be mine. True to his word, I am now the proud owner of Charlies hat. Needless to say, it is not the only hat he had, but this is the real deal. It is a custom Charlie Daniels model hat from Schafer Hat Works in Oklahoma. Thank you, Charlie. - George
