I have let people make me feel inferior when it comes to my photography. Alot of people say that someone who isnt professionally trained is not as good as someone who is. To that I say this...no I do not have professional training but there are two things that professional training cannot teach and those things are a love for photography and a passion for it. I applaud everyone who has gone to school for what they love to do and who have chosen to make a career out of it. You all deserve to have a successful career and I hope you have that. Please do not look down on us who choose to use a love and passion to capture special moments for people though. I have never said I have a God given talent, but I do have a camera that God provided me with and I will use that to capture special moments for people. When someone asks me if I am a photographer I hesitate to answer that not because I dont feel like I am but because people can make me feel like I dont deserve that title. The smiles I capture and the people who genuinely love their pictures tell me I do deserve that title. Photopraphy is my passion and I will continue to nurture that passion and will continue to use it to help others just as I have in the past. This has just been weighing on me for awhile and thought I would rant a bit this morning.
