I have opted out of saying the Pledge of Allegiance since I was in high school. Ultimately our freedom requires freedom of choice. Freedom of religion and freedom of expression die when we fail to guarantee freedom from coercion and the freedom to remain silent. So sit down and shut up if you so choose. It’s your constitutional right in America. After many years of studying religion and the Bible, I came to an educated and very satisfying decision that I want no part of any of it. I do however, have a great deal of respect for people who choose religion as long as they dont try to force it upon me. Unfortunately, I cant make it through one day of my life without having this complete nonsense literally rammed down my throat.
