I have revealing feeling that in the midst of our differences, we must unite more than ever before in fighting this menace. Over the period 3/5 quarter of lives has been lost, yet many have seize the opportunity to sow seeds of discourse among the people of Liberia. I have read on social medias, listen and read news papers and seen how people have shown how narrow minded they are. Instead of us fronting for a uniform approach on this EVD, we have allowed ourselves to talk about resignation and transitional government, then the more important issue EBOLA or removing the Madam and her cronies. Where will we have a new transitional team to govern when and if almost every nuke and corner of country is infested with EBOLA, do we have any idea what we are talking about. It is a constitutional duty to call for a change in government, but is it timely, while is lawful, is it expedient at this time. The scorch of this pandemic is being felt by everyone, for death is not selective, the economy is shrinking, major multinational companies has left, international flights rescinded every opportunity to keep their flights in our airspace, Ivory Coast quite recently deem it necessary to have her borders shut down, prices are escalating, normal school activities shut down, time been lost on moving this country forward, roads and infrastructural works all stopped; yet weve shut our eyes to all these negative effects and suddenly calling for a regime change, what the heck is wrong with us Liberians. Surprisingly, our next door neighbors are working endlessly in finding an amicable solution to this disease, we are playing politics with every done gone thing, while lives are being lost. For once we must stop showing how Liberians we are or how black we are, never must we continuously show how simple matters divide us, while serious issues little or no effort is being apply to it. While the international community is seeing the need to help curb this Ebola disease, we are making unnecessary headlines, mind you people calling for regime change are miles away, not feeling a pinch of the eminent threat of extinction, where entire families are been wiped away. The difference between those who make critical decisions to that of others who make common decisions shows where their interest lies, not only that if it shows that the majority is consider. We must not exacerbate the already dire situation, in as much youre free to determine your interest, everyone safety and well being must be calculated consciously. There can be no paradigm shift at this moment, in the wake of this EVD, We must allow expediency supersede the law and must merge forces in all of our disagreements to help save this nation. May we consider our true patriotism above personal relevance, let us foster a common agenda and for once show patriotism to the sate and not to a selfish cause. As we go through this period of challenge, we must not waiver, we must mourn our love ones who succumbed to this disease, to immortalized their deaths, and use it as a reason to apply common sense to this grave situation. Ebola is real and take every necessary precautions, as we need every life. May God bless us all and safe the state.
