I have seen a few people share a post in the last couple of days that basically says the new graph search on FB allows the public to see your photos, likes, comments, etc, and asks you to scroll over their profile photo, hit settings and uncheck certain the things that are checked (this same post has gone around in other variations before). IT IS COMPLETELY FALSE. To clear this up, the graph search DOES NOT change your privacy settings. If your photos, for instance, were private before, then anyone who is not your friend will still find no results when they search for your photos. Also, the only way to control your FB privacy settings is under your settings ON YOUR OWN PAGE. Having your friends do what that status is telling them to would actually prevent THEM from seeing your updates on their feeds. If I followed the instructions and unchecked "photos" and "likes and comments," then neither your photos or things you had liked or commented on would show up in my news feed.
