I have something to say, yes its soapbox time Karin style. This morning I came across a beautiful girl who is creative and creates excellent videos, they are full of her huge personality, gleaming smile and brilliant style, but shes been heavily criticised as I have been online. She is dealing with it beautifully, powerfully and admirably, not giving way to the negative, and remaining positive. This requires a lot of strength of character and a great deal of wisdom. This was my response to her. I guess that I have a lot to say on the matter. Recently, someone tried to squash my iPhone photography passion, I defriended that person, after almost deciding to stop ever posting any more here on Facebook. This is not an attempt at sympathy or empathy, but an attempt to empower others, after what Ive gone through the last two years, dealing with incredible nasty people online, who wouldnt flinch an eyelid if they found me passed out on the street or in a ditch. To them, I just say nothing at all.....for it is in peace, calm, and striving to see the good in others, or just walking the other way, that we are healed and healing. - Amen to that. Heres my response and if youve gone through anything like this, my heart goes out to you, stay strong and share your pain with those who love and support you, whatever you do dont be intimated and dont lash out, in retaliation if you can help it, also dont hurt yourself, its not you, its them.....Im sorry people are so cruel. You are exceptionally beautiful, not only because of your looks, but its your looks paired with your personality. I recall when my daughter first showed me your videos, and I was thinking, you had it all, amazing looks with a wonderful personality, this was so refreshing and real. I loved it. I too have received some dreadfully unbelievable and hurtful criticisms on the internet, it is soul destroying if you let it, so we mustnt. We are who we are, and we must embrace our unique differences, if we arent our own best friends, then who will be? For every one negative, there are 1000 positives, for some reason the 1 negative voice has particular power and strength over the vibes of the 1000 positives, if we start to doubt the 1000 positives, because the one negative voice begins to work the dark magic of paranoia into our psyche. Dont let it, most people are genuine when they go to the trouble to uplift you, they are seeing what is good and nice and lovely inside of you, as well as out, but darkness gives way to more darkness and those with a dark heart, they are those that have not healed from some past trauma, and they must inflict darkness on all others wherever they go. We will not listen, we will not pay them heed. We are stronger than that, because we have been hurt and have headed towards the light, not the darkness. Where there is light the darkness cannot be. Keep the light burning in your hearts. So it is, that with every blow I just rise up stronger, as I read recently in a post by someone on FB, those that swim upstream, do grow stronger. This is what adversity does which is good, it can either grow a character or destroy it. It can either bring you wisdom and light, love and empathy for others in similar situations or make you bitter and twisted and full of darkness and decay. The choice is our own. Adversity will come and visit all people everywhere, it is how we answer to her, that makes us who we will become.~ Karin xxx
